Sign-in pop up for fhcproxy
I'm getting a pop-up on most of the computers in our center this morning that says:
The proxy https://fhcproxy.fh006.familysearch.org requires a username and password, and then it gives a place to input the username and password.
Any thoughts as to why this is occurring? Any thoughts as to how to resolve it? Everything seems to be working fine.

I have been seeing the same issue in my center and was wondering the same thing. If I select cancel it goes away and then the screen is back to the normal FamilySearch screen. Any thoughts or solutions would be great.
I would post a screen shot of what it looks like but I don't see how to do that here.

I've sometimes seen that proxy pop-up when using Firefox at my FSC, but never on Chrome. If I close Firefox and reopen it, the pop-up disappears and does not return.
@Bruchele Cleverly the option to attach screenshots here has been broken for several months. There is a workaround. Instructions here:

We are seeing it on our FSC computers as well. It pops up using the Chrome browser when opening up Chrome, preconfigured to launch FamilySearch pages.

I saw it once yesterday on Chrome, for the first time. Again, I closed Chrome and reopened, and it did not reappear in the 5 hours I was at my Center.

We are still seeing it. I did observe that closing Chrome did clear it but it came back when the machines were rebooted. I’m wondering if there is an issue with the FSC extension and a recent update to Chrome. We are not seeing it on other browsers.

I've been seeing in on Firefox for several months, and I also saw it on Firefox on the 16th, the same day I saw it for the first time on Chrome. This is on my personal laptop, running Windows 10, fully updated, with both FF and Chrome browsers fully updated.

Sorry if this is redundant, but nothing works well on Firefox. A patron called me one time because she was having issues getting into images on FamilySearch. She couldn't figure out why she couldn't see non-restricted items. She was using the Firefox browser. Once she switched to using the Chrome browser, all worked fine. I removed Firefox from my Center computers. We only use Chrome and, sometimes, Edge.

I'm using my personal computer, not a center computer. Some FS features sometimes work better on Chrome. The Beta Images option almost always works better on Chrome.
On the flip side, for months, logging in to the portal has worked better on Firefox than on Chrome.
But, back to the fhcproxy pop-up - that always goes away and stays away once I close and reopen the relevant browser.
