I am reaching out in the hope of finding more information about my second great-grandmother, Sofia (Benardie) Murray. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to discover any details about her parents or possible siblings.

Here is what I know:

Sofia (Benardie) Murray was born around 1882 in Cape Colony, South Africa. She passed away on 10 November 1918 in Murraysburg, Cape Province, South Africa. She married George Ross Murray on 6 October 1905 in Beaufort West, Cape Colony, South Africa. George Ross was born around 1883 in Beaufort West, Cape Colony, South Africa, and passed away on 17 October 1957 in Cape Province, South Africa.

Sofia and George Ross Murray had several children:

1. Caroline Hendrika (Murray) Brandt
2. John Thomas Murray
3. Susarah Johannah Murray
4. Sofia Francina Murray
5. Annie Katherina Murray, who first married a man with the surname van der Westhuizen and later my great-grandfather, John Benjamin Theron.
