Thanks for the update on record gathering at Familysearch, who are well prepared via their historical involvement to copy records before they disintegrate, and host them onsite for free access. It is good that all the sites collborate in this effort.

Thanks for this valuable information! This has been an area of interest for me for the last while as I have worked to gather, digitize and preserve my own family’s records, journals, photos, etc. I’ve learned so much about my parents and grandparents, and am working to make this information available to others in my family. It’s also good to know there are so many different types of volunteer opportunities in this area! Thank you!
