How do I attach a correction to someone else's entry?

Is the "Document", a 'Legal' one; or, just a "Story" (eg. 'Word') one, added by another User/Patron?
.
If the latter, you could 'Message' the User/Patron who uploaded the "Story" (eg. 'Word') one; and, discuss with them the situation - they may want or be willing to "Change" it.
.
Whereas, with the former, you cannot (so easily) "Change" a 'Legal' one.

Just a thought.

. . . but a comment can be added to any document in the Memories section clarifying the discrepancy. (not in the document itself)
but you can add a comment (note) to any memories item - clarifying what you think may be in error. (in the comment section on underneath the item)

It is a written interview with a deceased family member. They have an incorrect birthdate, by about 6 months, which may change the storyline. It is an image of this document. Is there a place I can leave a note to correct this? I can supply proof.

Yes, the only document I have found indicating this "adoption". But they have her dob incorrect. Maybe for this it makes no difference?

She is deceased, and most of her family members are also deceased. When I add this to my tree, I will attach a note somewhere indicating the correct info. thanks, new to this site and it has been so helpful already. We finally have the story! Bless you!
