A new record source "Italia, Teramo, Stato Civile (Archivio di Stato), 1809-1936", . FamilySearch. https://familysearch.org : 18 March 2024." was announced about a month ago in the blog. The search page doesn't work for me and the record collection does not appear in a search→record search either. It could be me.

Thank you for your patience; I now have an update. Unfortunately, this collection was mistakenly published prematurely and is not yet ready for public access. We're currently working to remove the link, and we've made significant progress in resolving this issue. Thank you for alerting us and for your continued patience as we finalize this process.

@jambones Is this the collection? https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1947829
Search works for me, and I can view images. If I can help, let me know.

Nope. That one "1866-1940" has been around for a while. The one I'm having problem with is a new collection. Hm … ok here is the link I should have been smart enough to post in the first place. :-)

That one does not work for me. Let me see what I can find out.
You might try posting in the Italy Research group where knowledgeable Italian researchers hang out. They may have more details.

Edit to add: even the Collection Browse option returns an error. It may be Monday before anything can be corrected.

@jambones I've reported via Feedback. I'm not staff, so I'm tagging a Mod @Ashlee C. to ask her to escalate, if needed.

Sorry I couldn't wave a magic wand. It may just be a temporary problem, so you might try accessing again tomorrow.

The blog post in February said "expanded collection" for Teramo 1809-1936, but the prior blog posts (that the search coughs up, anyway: July 2022 and July 2018) refer to Teramo 1866-1940, so I'm wondering if the new landing page was created in error, and that's why it doesn't work? That is, maybe some parts of the process are adding stuff to the old collection, while other parts of the process are creating a new collection.

Hopefully Áine's feedback and mod-tagging will bear fruit, but I agree with her that it's unlikely to happen before Monday.

I wondered the same since it seemed unlikely, to me, that there would be 2 collections with such similar names.

Actually, I saw they were indexing this new collection last year and when I checked again a few months ago it was mostly done. So I was not surprised when it appeared in the blog. If you look in the catalog there are Teramo records dating back to 1809.

Ah! Maybe we're getting "no results" because the index — like the images — is restricted to FSC/AL use?

Nope - I was at my AL yesterday when I tried to look. I tried a name search and a browse, all while at my AL.

Still broken. I feel better now. Clearly I found something complicated. :-)

Makes you wonder if there are other collections also in this limbo.

@jambones Fixes often take a very long time to appear, even the ones that seem simple on the surface.

Its not a big deal here but I'm just curious how this story ended. I mean the record is there and not there at the same time. -)

@jambones I can only advise a great deal of patience. There are problems I reported more than 2 years ago that are still awaiting a fix. The list of fixes is long; the number of programmers is small.
