You'll need desktop software (such as Family Tree Maker, RootsMagic, Legacy, and others) to transfer a copy of your branch of the FS tree to Ancestry. It's not a direct upload.

Be aware that the Sources will not transfer using some or all of the possible desktop applications, you may well have to do those manually.

There is also a rather more 'techie' tool called getmyancestors which can generate a gedcom (and which does include the Sources).

Sources transfer when using Family Tree Maker. I can't speak authoritatively on the most recent versions of all other partner desktop genealogical software.

Go into ancestry and click on trees and a drop down option to import the FS tree to Ancestry will show up.

@Pauline Roka Nathan That option only applies to those with an LDS member partner account.
