every time I try to use Ancestry it tell me that I need to buy a membership even though I have use the membership that I signed up for with Family search.

You will need to contact your area Family search office as I had the same problem a couple of years ago and now My Heritage is falling into the same pit.With Ancestry, I had to create a new account with a different email and it worked, now I am told we have to use the same email as the family search account now that I have another account already;
We are still waiting on a reply from head office re: My heritage. Seems, to be algirithim updates are due.
