Bug: Cannot tag anyone new
Reporting this bug as I don't see it listed in the known bugs.
I am not able to tag any new person since the new Memories UI came out. I can tag someone I've tagged before. However, the "+ Add New" button is not clickable and appears greyed out.
I have added thousands of sources and tagged hundreds of people. So I am guessing this is another symptom of not yet imposing a reasonable limit on the number of suggested names in the Tag People dialog.

Jon,
Is it still grayed out for you after you start typing in a name or PID? When the input field is blank, we intentionally disabled the "Add New" button as adding a person with a blank name causes a lot of issues.
It was possible in the past to add a blank name. However, this confused people, who would end up with "" or " " as a permanent part of the family member's name. Plus it confused computers, which kept throwing "null exception" errors. You could end up with something that looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13c2UFvAz4L_RZCr6lruc-e3W60z7ZitZ/view Or a bunch of paperclips with no names and no way to tell which one is which.
Please let me know if you still see it grayed out after you start typing in a name.
Thanks!
~StacyP.S. We are half way to our goal of resolving the "suggested names" issue. Check back again in a week, and you will hopefully be surprised (in a good way).

@American Family Historian The Add New button disappears when I start typing a name. Example:
I have tagged hundreds, maybe thousands of people via adding records not yet available in FamilySearch as new Memory Sources. So my guess is that the Add New button is getting cut off because the suggested people query isn't properly limited.

For any who are experiencing this same problem, this discussion has moved to another discussion: Bug report: New tag person UI can’t handle accented characters. Thanks for finding and sharing, @Jon Andersen
