Listing parents without a relationship
My mother and father are not in a relationship. How can I still have him on my family tree?

Hi Rhys, you still need to create a Couple Relationship in the Tree, it doesn't need to have any marriage event associated with it (and/or it can have a divorce event). It doesn't say anything about the status or otherwise of a relationship in real life.

This situation has been discussed many times. Here's a lengthy discussion with a variety of opinions about what to do now, and how Family Tree might be improved to handle this situation better in the future:
My personal opinion is that you should definitely have a parent-child relationship involving you and your mother and father, but there should not be a couple relationship between the two of them if they never lived together in real life (married or not).
If they did live together for any length of time, then I would create a couple relationship as well.

@Rhys270 This Help Article may be useful.
Also - if your parents are living, only you will see their profiles. You only need to put something like "Mom" without full details. You just need to be able to connect to the nearest deceased generation on your maternal and paternal branches.
