Can I change my name as it appears on FS pages, on profiles I create or edit?

I have been getting lots of spam, not from FS but other sites and email addresses.

When I originally registered may years ago I entered what I thought would be a user name but it wasn't or I may have done something incorrectly, but it isn't what shows up on my home page or any other pages.
