I am reviewing this: US, Massachusetts—Naturalization Records, 1790–1946 [Part D] [MQJ4-T28]

Often, in order to find the record date, it is necessary to use the split screen to go to the Affidavit of Witnesses. So I put the date from the Affidavit of Witnesses on the image I'm working on.

However, on the split page is also an Oath of Allegiance. Should that be indexed as well, or should we just leave it?

If you are using the +1 Reference Image for the record date, the OOA is not indexed with your batch. The OOA is its own separate document that will be picked up by another indexer/reviewer as Image 1 in a new batch. The only thing to be indexed from a +1 reference image is the AOW date, just like the only thing to be checked on a -1 Reference Image is the spelling of the applicant's name if the batch starts with a pre-1940 OOA.
