Seems worthless to do them without a confirmation date.

Often the Oath is written on the backside of another document, so even without a date, it seems to me they should be indexed with <blank> for the date info.

Oaths are always indexed, even if there is no date.

Another question. Many times the previous indexer enters the Oaths in the second Entry for some reason. Should I bother to change it? Or does it REALLY matter?

I've wondered the same thing, really annoying because I've already started the process of putting things in the correct order
