Large red cross

My tree has the same red cross where a picture of the person would be next to their name. My ancestors are from England in the 1600s, and it's definitely not the British flag. He was a military man so maybe that has some significance.

    Thank you Gordon! I never knew that was the English flag. Guess I’ve always seen the UK flag.

    Some users like to put a flag in the portrait spot if there is no portrait for a person. Other people don't think this is a good idea.
