Can I correct an indexed record

good afternoon,

I am trying to rebuild my family history and there is a branch that is from Láncara (Lugo, Spain). I see that there are indexed records there (DGS 4127795 AND 4127796) but I think that there is missing data and/ or errors.

I would like to ask if there is any option for me to have access to it and contribute to the fine tuning of the same documentation.

I know I can help with specific records, but if you look for somebody and is not correctly listed or the name was left blank, there is no option to do this

thanks and regards,

Estefanía

If the record images are available to all on FamilySearch, then we can usually edit the index. If the images are not available from home, then the index cannot be edited. It would be impossible to confirm that the edits are correct.

IF the record images are available to view when you visit your local Affiliate Library or FamilySearch Center, you may be able to edit the index when you are at that location. That option tends to vary by collection. Both of those DGS numbers indicate they can be viewed at a FamilySearch Center.

However, the catalog shows that those DGS are not indexed:

That usually means that the film has a detached or indirect index and those cannot be edited.
