How do I know if an offspring that appears in my tree is correct? Since this person is not found in historical records, I am referring to an alleged daughter of Hernán Cortez, how do you know if this is true?

Have you tried contacting the contributor who added/edited the profile to create the relationship between Hernán Cortez and a daughter?

The FamilySearch Family Tree is fully open-edit and collaborative. Anyone with information may contribute/edit/change/correct.

It would help if you provide the PID (profile identifier) for Hernán Cortez, if he is deceased, so that we can review the details.
