Add Person - Language Template Missing
In the new source linker when one adds a new person, the ability to set the language template is missing:
This means that if I accept the name as it is or edit it to be exactly as I want it, I still need to remember to go to the newly created profile and check the language template.
Even worse, all other places where one adds a person, the language template defaults to being the same as the last person created so it rarely needs to be changed. Here it does not. I assume it uses the language the website is set to. This means that after adding a few dozen people from Add Child, Add Parent, Add Spouse, Add Unconnected Person, and never having to touch the language template because they are all Norwegian, I add a person through the source linker and find that name was added as English.
Please add the language template box just above the First Names box and have it default to the last used template.

The old version doesn't have the template, either. Source Linker has always just applied the current interface language.

True, but I doubt they will fix the old one at this point. Since they have said that one of the reasons for updating pages is to move onto new technology that allows improvements to the page, I was just hoping they would get this improvement on their list of things that need to be done.

This is now entered in Suggested Enhancements of Source Linker Known Issues. I have closed this discussion and will update the Status in Suggested Enhancements.
