The Film Number is your clue. You can search in the FamilySearch catalog by film number. https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog then enter the film number in the Film/Fiche/Image box. There are other ways to get to the same point, but that's a simple way.

It is one of several Kirchenbuch from Evangelische Kirche Schimonken (Kr. Sensburg).

The icon of a camera with a key, in the format column, indicates that I cannot see the film from my current location. When I click on that icon, I get a message:

The restriction is most likely due to the later records on that DGS/Film: records so recent as the mid-20th century will be restricted to protect the privacy of the possibly/probably living. There's a general 100-year restriction, and there may be more specific restrictions depending on location.

There is a project underway to break apart some of the DGS that cover many decades, but that will take some time. For now, that DGS is likely only available to view in Salt Lake City.

Hello. Thank you for your confirmation that the record is unavailable for viewing. I live in Ontario, Canada. Fof now it sounds like I just need to wait this issue out.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers,

    Laurie

There are sometimes volunteers who do look-ups in SLC. There are also researchers-for-hire, if you want to go that route. Cyndi's List is a good place to find someone.

Best of luck with the hunt!
