Is there anyway to force the legacy index editor screen?

I know the new index editor is having boatloads of issues, but occasionally I get the "old" editor screen, which seems to work fine. Is there a way to manipulate the URL to get the legacy editor screen if the new one shows up?

If there is, I haven't found it. I can edit the URL to use the old viewer, but not the old editor.

I last explored this question about a year ago. As I recall, I only succeeded once, and only for editing one field. (I think a year?) The new editor just doesn't use the same names for things, and the working editor applies to so few collections at this point that I simply can't find enough examples to figure out a pattern for the URL.
