Hi,

May I call your attention to he difference between these two searches -- that should produce very similar results?

1) First and Last name in main form,

https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=100&q.anyPlace=Toro%2C%20Valle%20del%20Cauca%2C%20Colombia&q.anyPlace.exact=on&q.givenName=evarista&q.recordCountry=Colombia&q.recordSubcountry=Colombia%2CValle%20del%20Cauca&q.surname=mena

Search produces 11 results, results that are not relevant.

Very low scores:

2) in contrast, this other search gives excellent results.

First & last name under "other person" window.

https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=100&q.anyPlace=Toro%2C%20Valle%20del%20Cauca%2C%20Colombia&q.anyPlace.exact=on&q.otherGivenName=evarista&q.otherSurname=mena&q.recordCountry=Colombia&q.recordSubcountry=Colombia%2CValle%20del%20Cauca

It produces 93 results, and the first 15 are of the specific person being searched. Very accurate!! notice the high scores in column A.

It seems to me that, logically, the first search should have included these 15 top results.

I wonder if the first type of search could be tweaked a bit.

Cheers!
