How to change order of partners without marriage dates.
A person in Family Tree has three partners; she had children by the first two partners; then married third partner. Third partner was added first with marriage date. Then first and second partners were added without marriage date (since no marriage took place). The first and second partners now appear after the third partner. How to correct this situation?

Couple relationships are shown in order of the associated couple events. The earliest dates are shown first, and all relationships with no dated events are shown last.
A couple event may certainly be a marriage, but it can also be a looser arrangement such as Common Law Marriage or Lived Together. So if you want to make sure that couple relationships are shown in the proper chronological order, you need to supply at least one event. It might be as vague as a Lived Together event with a date of "about 1943" but that would make sure that that couple relationship is shown before a couple with a marriage in, say, 1950.

Alan, thank you for the tip about "Lived Together". However, there is no evidence these couples lived together; only that they produced a child (in 1711 and 1724).

@fbax, in the 1700s in Europe, if both a father and a mother are named in a baptismal record, it almost always means that they were married. If they weren't, then usually only the mother will be named, and the child will be marked illegitimate.

These children were marked illegitimate; fathers were mentioned but no marriages were found. No prior husbands were mentioned when she got married to third partner.
