Im hopeless at this ☹ help please

I am trying to start the family tree but im not getting any joy , my grandfather is thomas bennett gillies , who was married to jane johnstone ​possibly in 1949 in glasgow scotland . I dont know dates of births or deaths but ime sure both were from glasgow . Please help !

If married in 1949, I would suggest you do a range re age of birth between 1920-1930 to start and see what pops up! Good luck.
