I apologize in advance for this beginners question. I had my tree going back several generations that I knew to be correct. I discovered today, that another user had changed the name of my maternal great grandfather to a completely different person. All of the correct sources remain. Do I just change the name back?

i used the chat to message the person who made the change but am not confident it will be changed back correctly.

Any advice is appreciated.

Are you familiar with the Change Log which tracks every change? And, from that change log, you can restore/correct any changes.

The FamilySearch tree is fully open-edit. Anyone can change/edit/correct/connect. If you are sure of your facts, do not hesitate to fix what needs to be fixed.

Thank you for your help. I’ve been using the iPad app and cannot see that option in the change log. I’ll try logging in with my MacBook and see.
