Bug - Cannot add additional notes (with "Alert Note") to Collaborate

I have a note already under Notes. There is an link "+ ADD NOTE". When I use this link the text box appears, I add notes, I check the box; "Alert Note". My note is not saved. Please either omit the "Alert Note" check box and provide instruction letting the user know that only one "Alert Note" is possible, and provide a way to change which note has the "Alert". Or allow multiple "Alert Note".

Each profile can only have 1 Alert Note. It can have many notes that are not designated as an Alert Note.

The lack of saving is not a bug, but intentional: it is accompanied (for me) by a black message "flying in" from the right, saying that the profile has reached its limit for alert notes.

The reason the checkbox is there even if it can't be used is that the "Add Note" popup is the same, regardless of the presence or absence of other collaboration notes on the profile. If you're adding a note to someone who does not already have an alert note, then the checkbox will work.

It's also the same popup that you get if you edit an existing note (using the pencil button), meaning that it's how you change which note is the alert: you edit the alert, uncheck the box, save, edit or add the new alert, check the box, and save. I agree that this methodology is clunky and difficult. You have to do things in exactly the right sequence, else it doesn't work, and you can't even easily tell whether you've succeeded, because there's no indication of which note has which status.

It would be clearer and easier if "alert" status were set using radio buttons right there on the page.
