Merry Christmas, All!
Just sitting here in a peaceful house being really quiet so I don't wake anyone up this early.
Macbook Pro, Apple M2 Pro, Retina Display 14-inch (3024 × 1964), MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1, Safari 17.1.2.
I noticed today when attaching a census record with a lot of people that when clicking compare the screen scrolls but not quite far enough to avoid me still needing to scroll. Could the amount of scroll being done be adjusted to either put the current person's name at the top of the screen or the attach button at the bottom of the screen? For long records either one may still require the user to scroll some but I would hope this would occur less often.

I have no idea how much control over the amount of scrolling programmers actually have in a situation like this, but there must be some because when I click on compare for any name, it moves to same spot on the screen which looks to be just about the middle of the window no matter how I set the height of my screen as seen here:
Of course with my screen set this narrow top to bottom there is no way to get the person's name and the attach button on the screen at the same time, but setting the amount of scroll to give the greatest chance of being able to see both without more scrolling would be nice.

@Gordon Collett Gordon, I talked to the engineers about your post, and you are right, they do no have much control over the placement other than what the browser allows. They have taken your suggestions and made the changes. Thank you for your consistent feedback, and for documenting it so well. Please continue to share your ideas at New Source Linker Feedback group.
