I found that when I went back to edit a post in a community group discussion, the screen shots I had pasted were lost and turned into an image of an hourglass.

and here is the same post after selecting edit and save.

Each image has to be approved by the image moderator bot. When you edit, the process starts over again. Multiple edits can confuse the bot, and then one of the live moderators may have to intervene.

This is a long standing issue. These days the picture does usually come back. But it still makes me nervous so whenever I have an image, I always proof-read two or three extra times and have come to expect that there will still aways be a scentance whee it look lik I can't speel.

One problem I have found is that until the image does reappear, I am unable to make any edits to the text stick (when I click again on Save Comment). If I see I've made a typo, or used bad grammar (both quite common for me!), I find myself constantly reloading the page until my screenshot eventually does reappear - and then I make my edits.

So it may not be a bad bug, as when I went back to look at it, the original photo reappeared.
