Henry was my Great Grandfather. I have good info on him, but not so much his father, I believe to be John Hines Jones 1801 - 1876, or his father Thomas Jones 1793 - 1854.

I have documentation written by Henry that his Grandfather Thomas Jones and his two brothers - names unknown and his parents, names unknown, were on a ship from Wales, going to New York. Both parents died of cholera and the boys were sent to the authorities. By law then they had to be 'adopted' until the age of 21. Henry's documentation states the two brothers went south, and he (Thomas) stayed in the New York and Pennsylvania area with a cooper, which he learned the trade.

I am looking for any documentation you might have, and glad to share what I have.

Thank you!

@NataleeSargent could you share the PID for your Great Grandfather? That way we make sure we have the correct person :)
