I was tracing my Grandfather's name Donahue on my father's side. I got to a certain point and don't know where to go from here. Records go back to this great great great grandfather in 1816 in Newark, NJ.

Kieran, you may want to post in the Atlantic States Research Group where researchers familiar with New Jersey will be happy to try to help. Share as much detail as you can about what you've found, so that helpers don't make the same searches again.

Best of luck with the search!

Another option is to do a free virtual consultation with FamilySearch: https://go.oncehub.com/ResearchStrategySession
