1870 census records for Bradford county, PA, indexed incorrectly

I am finding many 1870 census records for various towns in Bradford county PA indexed incorrectly as "Bedford, Bedford county, PA". When I open the record so I can edit it, it shows the correct town, but it is still indexed incorrectly. I tried to send this comment via "Contact Us" but the page was unavailable. This is a systemic problem - can it be solved systemically rather than one record at a time?

@N Tychonievich this sounds like a placename standardization issue. I searched for a random John Smith in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, for an example: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MZL5-SXH

@KatieReplogle N Tychonievich has taken the lead on resolving errors of this kind. There is likely a sizable backlog for a fix.

Thanks for reporting the error. We have added it to the list of things to be fixed. There is a backlog, so it may take a while. Thanks for your patience while we get this resolved.
