Hello,

I use the FamilySearch site a lot, and for many years & have been entering data likewise for many year, but since two days ago any time I try to open any individual's page, I get this message.

I can still search Records, and Family Tree as usual, I can still load scans of original records - parish records, Censuses, etc. - as usual, I can use 'Hints' to attach sources to individuals, but I can't open any individual page ...

Why do I have access to all the functions, but not individuals' pages ?

Have cleared cache & cookies to no effect, and tried with a VPN also no effect, I've logged out & logged in, closed and re-opened my browser and done the basic turn off the computer & re-booted - no go.

Other conversations seem to point to a network problem, that means the issue may be with my internet provider, all of a sudden for some reason ? If so, no idea what to do about it.

If anyone has encountered this problem, too , and found a work around, would appreciate a heads up ...

I am unable to duplicate this problem, but someone else here has reported what sounds like the same problem: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/153661/person-pages-broken

I also immediately thought of the thread that Alan linked. I think we've figured out that the problem there is an outdated browser that apparently can't deal with the font/display changes that were rolled out right around two or three days ago. You didn't say: is your browser up to date? Or, coming at it from a slightly different angle, have you tried it with a different browser?

My story is exactly the same as yours, Udo. FamilySearch sent me some info about clearing cookies and caches which had no effect whatsoever! I am stuck.

Howdy, looks like FamilySearch has changed some software to do with fonts, that old browsers cannot read ; no indication that this is going to change. I was going to update my PC anyway, & have brought that cost forward, and when done will give me more up to date browser ... but an extreme measure to fix a problem with a font ! Don't appreciate FamilySearch being so indifferent to the many of us who have older machines ...
