How are mistakes in trees rectified?

In researching James Copsey KVWM-92L, I have found much of the information on tree is incorrect - e.g. James Copsey KCWM-92L has incorrect parents, burial date etc. Therefore the preceding relationships are also incorrect.

The FamilySearch Family Tree is a single tree, open-edit, and collaborative. If you find an error, you have the ability to edit/add/correct. You can also send a private message to other collaborators to discuss what you think may need updating.

As Áine says, the way mistakes are rectified is by users like you making the corrections. However, one consequence of a global tree of this size is that there are a lot of similar people in it. Before you make changes, make sure you're talking about the same James Copsey as the profile is for.
