Any suggestions for people changing historical documented figures based on supposed DNA?
There is a famous, well documented profiles I follow that has had their parents repeatably changed without valid documentation. When I message the other contributors to inquire as to their reasoning I've received answers such as "due to DNA records they have in their possession" and "Stop acting like you are the Family Search owner, respect my family". Or "The mutations in Luiz Eduardo's brain prove this theory" which makes absolutely no sense.
The profile for Maximilian I von Habsburg-Lothringen - Imperador de México LBL3-65W has been changed over and over many times daily by people convinced, despite all historical documentation, that he is the son of either Napolean or his son Napolean II.
Any suggestions? Reporting abuse does not work for these situations.

Since I wrote the post several days ago the profile has been completely obliterated-over 80 name changes alone today (10/18). All relationships deleted. And then incorrectly restored just while I was writing this new post. Two different patrons (I am not one of them) going back and forth changing things due to some kind of genealogy war. Unfortunately I give up-it's just a shame because it had been a well researched and documented profile for an important historical figure before they started messing with the information.

As you acknowledge, reporting this as abuse would probably not help here. As we are aware, Family Tree administrators rarely seem to get involved in any instances of this nature, so it is usually left to those with conflicting views to sort matters out for themselves. Someone just might decide to lock this record, but - in view of the large number of historically important individuals who remain "open-edit" - I believe that probably won't happen. As has been mentioned previously, the problem with locking a record is that someone (possibly one of the two users involved here) will then probably go ahead and create another ID for Maximilian I von Habsburg-Lothringen.
