We are making a change to the categories in our community. This change has been requested for a long time and we are so excited to bring it to you. The temple category will only be viewable by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who must be logged in to see it. This change will be effective April 10th by end of the day.

Sometime during the next week, the FamilySearch Help Center (Help and Learning) redesign will be launched for 100% of FamilySearch users. This change is occurring because the technology used for the logged-in version of FamilySearch.org has become outdated. The yellow banner will discontinue but you will still be able to go back and forth between the new and old versions by clicking on the “Try It!” link below the blue bar. (See the image below.)

Then when you want to return to the old version, click on "Return to the Old Version"

The feedback button will remain, and we ask that you give us specific and detailed actionable comments. Please refrain from just complaining if there is something that you do not like, we really look at all the feedback but need specifics to be able to take your suggestion into consideration. You most likely will not get a response that your feedback was received but please know that every comment is viewed, considered, and implemented if possible.

We suggest that you use the newly redesigned page and get comfortable with it as quickly as possible because at some point in the future, the redesign will be the only option and we will not be able to revert back and forth as we are now able to do. Rest assured that nothing has gone away, just put in its proper place for ease of discovery as well as to allow future upgrades with minimal disruption and more flexibility.

I must be honest I do really like the new Help and Learning Centre. I find it much easier to use and, importantly, it looks interesting and fun instead of just uninviting and boring. One big ask and point brought up by many people I know is "when are you going to change that question mark in the circle to something more inviting?" Something that invites people to click on it and want to investigate. You would be surprised at the amount of people who barely even see it never mind never click on it. Under that question mark in the circle is a veritable gold mine of information, learning tools and just downright fun, there is something for everyone and you virtually hide it. Why? Surely you want patrons to find it.

Thank you for your feedback@Cedar Kedar! We all agree with you as well and are working our best to make some changes along the same line as what you suggested.
