As an example, the profile of my paternal grandfather:

The Burial field follows the Death field, in chronological order.

Aine, put the name of grandfather, I know. How to put in Family Search the name and dates of an unknown person, a name seen in an abandoned cemetery?

If you are certain the person is not documented in the FamilySearch tree, you create a new profile and add the burial information.

This is how I search when researching a stone in a cemetery. Start with Find from any profile page.

If unable to get a match I then Add Unconnected Person and hopefully can find good sources to attach but at minimum would have the Cemetery stone that I’ve added to Find A Grave to connect as a source. If this is a very old stone may not have much information to add but the older the stone the more likely the person lived in area and likely died in area.
