Hi,

One of my ancestors that I entered has now been marked as confidential. She was born in 1853 and has been dead a long time! There is no reason for this that I can see.

The problem is that I have created an account for my father and tried to hook him up to all the research I've already done and he can't see her!!

I'm wondering whether this is anything to do with a certain lady "genealogist" who some distant relative has employed to research their family tree. This person lives on the other side of the world and has no first hand information about my family but she has been editing details willy nilly and creating duplicates of entries that are already there.

How do I solve this?

They must've run the bot this weekend. See my reply to this other thread from earlier today: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/150856/confidential-persons#latest.
