An individual has recently added me as a new person(GLCK-C65) and deceased to my family tree. I have sent a message to the individual pointing out I am still alive but have not received a reply. How do I delete the newly added and deceased person(me). There are other minor incorrect changes made by the same individual as well but I have been able to correct them(incorrect spouses and children for example) Thanks, Ed Hartshorn

I've received a reply from FSSupport, and the profile GLCK-C65 has been changed to living.

Because you are living, there may be multiple profiles for you, if other members of your family are active on the FamilySearch Family Tree (FSFT).

The FSFT protects the privacy of the living. Only you can see the profile you have entered for yourself. Only the other person can see the version he or she has created for you. This Help Article may be useful in understanding the process.

You can change the profile that the other user has created to living status. You will then be unable to see it. The Help Article for that process: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-change-the-status-from-deceased-to-living-in-family-tree

    Ed,

Go into your deceased profile and change it to delete, then enter your reason.. enough proof or evidence so that anyone reading it knows yo are alive... FamilySearch will review your reason and change it to that PID of you to living.

I think Ed meant to say "go into your deceased profile and change it to Living". . .

Thanks everyone for your help. I have deleted the relationship with the parents of the deceased person which took out the relationship in the tree. The deceased listing is still available but I have added notes for anyone who visits the listing of the erroneously deceased individual.

@Ed Hartshorn, did you try following the instructions in the article that Áine linked?

Here's the part that's relevant to you:

    ---

    1. Navigate to the person page of the individual who is living.
    2. Click Details
    3. In the Vitals section, next to the listed death date, select Edit.
    4. In the box that appears, click the circle labeled Living.
    5. Enter how you know the person is still alive.
    6. Click Save.
    7. Enter an explanation for the system administrator to review your request. Please provide this information:
      • Your relationship to the individual needing attention
      • How you know that the person is alive
      • If possible, the living person's current physical address
    8. Click Submit.

A request now goes to FamilySearch Support. A system administrator reviews your request and takes appropriate actions.

    ---

In both step 5 and step 7, it's gracious plenty for you to say "This is me".

@Julia Szent-Györgyi Since Ed didn't indicate that he had followed those instructions, I did it. As to why, I included a link to this thread. Should be handled.
