Identifying old military uniforms.

Found an old photo in my mother's album and am trying to identify the uniform and/or the insignia. It might be related to the Military Company of the Massachusetts also known as the Ancient & Honorable Military Co.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the information and will give it a try.

The forage cap is similar to the unit I mentioned, but so far the uniform and insignia have eluded me.
