Reporting a Duplicate

I found that my father is listed twice in the FamilySearch records with 2 different record reference IDs. One of them lists his wife, my mother, with and incorrect name. I reported that error in my mother's name to the person who supplied it and received a response that it had been withdrawn. Now, what can be done about the duplication.

You can merge duplicates yourself, presuming your father is deceased. The FamilySearch Family Tree is fully open-edit.

If you're new to the tree, you can ask for assistance. If your father is deceased, provide the PIDs, and someone can guide you through the process.

There are also many help articles with step-by-step instructions.
