Is it possible to print out a 7-generation pedigree of direct ancestors?

Thanks! P. Hershberger S. Carolina

That's a Landscape Pedigree. You can't do a full 7-generation direct ancestor chart in that format. Just too many people to fit on a screen or a sheet of paper. If you try (print is under the slider buttons), it will be multiple pages with reference numbers. I don't find it usable.

If you use one of the partner programs from the Solutions Gallery, you can export such a chart as a single sheet PDF and have it printed by one of the office supply stores with printing service.

@PhilipHershberger as mentioned, 3rd party programs - RootsMagic, FamilyTreeMaker - will do it.

Thanks for your help, Yes I am familiar with a fan chart and failed to mention that I would like to print the conventional running tree pedigree, whatever that is called. Thanks!

third party programs (Ancestral Quest, RootsMagic) have the capability to print what is called a "cascading" pedigree report.

Thanks, this was very helpful! So "Landscape" is the word I was looking for instead of a "fan" layout.

I am disappointed however, that I can not print a 7-generation in the landscape format. I think I will take a 7-generation open/blank landscape sheet to a commercial printer and have it enlarged to 24" or 30" and add the names and information myself. That of course will be a lot of work. Maybe you have a better idea?? Thanks again! Phil
