Duplicate entries are still making me crazy

US, New York—Eastern District Naturalization Records, 1865–1958 [Part C][MQCH-XL8]

The second image is the duplicate. I marked the second as a duplicate, the system asks which is the duplicate and gives me the option for Image 2 (current image). I click and that and . . . nothing. It's not accepted, the field doesn't populate. Nothing.

I'm frustrated and confused.

Remember, when you're marking an image as a Duplicate Image, you're in the that image in the program, so the duplicate of the image you're in wouldn't be the image you're in. It would be the other image that it's a duplicate of.

You'll need to mark Image 2 as a duplicate of Image 1.

This is in no way helpful. I think I made it clear in my question that I have tried to market as a duplicate, and the system will not let me.

I found that to be confusing as well. It seems counter-intuitive but I marked image 1 as the duplicate.

@BJGW and @Lisa Kay Horlacher Think of it this way: starting with image 1 mark Yes brings you to Image 2 which is the Duplicate of image 1 --the key word here is of so in your head, you're saying: Index Image 1 (yes) but Image 2 (No, Duplicate Image) is a Duplicate of Image 1 so Image 1 belongs in the Selection Box 😎
