Someone 'up there' is really missing the mark by sending out emails to perhaps millions of guests with significant typos, messages that do not make sense, and the reference to Benjamin Franklin that has people sign in to see how they are related to Benjamin Franklin only to learn "you are not related".

This is identified as "click bait" among other less kind terms and someone 'up there' needs to spiff up the messages and test them BEFORE sending them to guests of FamilySearch/Family Tree!!

Whilst I agree with the thrust of your argument, I am always unhappy when seeing FamilySearch users / patrons / participants / subscribers referred to as "guests". This term does not really match any of the dictionary definitions I have just read, but still remains in use on this website and within the FamilySearch organisation, in general.

Unfortunately, your criticism of "messages that do not make sense" loses its force by your own use of a term that will not be universally recognised as applying to many (if not most) of us Community members who will be reading your post.
