I have some questions about the privacy of the family tree

Among the most commonly asked questions on this forum relate to the issue you are raising.
There is a common misunderstanding that there is any concept of a "my family tree", when it comes to the format FamilySearch's "Family Tree" program adopts. It is a fully-editable database that relies on collaboration between contributors and, often, a lot of exasperating additional work when another user makes incorrect changes to the profiles of your family members.
As is commonly advised, to keep such changes to a minimum, add as much back-up as possible for the data you have inputted. Specifically, provide reason statements against individual items (e.g., why you are sure of a certain birth or death date) and enter notes in the Collaboration section detailing your research. Also, add sources that relate to the data inputted.
Unfortunately, there just is no stopping the more determined - perhaps uncooperative - user, who refuses to accept the facts / relationships you have added for your family members. Of course, always keep a back up of your work in a separate program. If you do this online, be sure to keep it within a program where others are unable to edit the details. Better still, keep it in one of the many programs you can install on your personal hardware, where nobody else can see / touch it.
Using Family Tree can be very frustrating at times, so it is your choice as to whether the perceived advantages (e.g. valuable contributions from others that you would not have found elsewhere) outweigh the disadvantages (especially in others being able to make unwanted changes to the data and relationships you believe to be correct).

You can edit the relationship that is incorrect. The Help and Learning Center has articles on how to use the Family Tree. Here are some that might help.
How do I delete a person from Family Tree
How do I see what changes were made about a person in Family Tree?
How do I undo an incorrect change in Family Tree?
How do I undo a merge in Family Tree?
How do I correct parent-child relationships in Family Tree?
How can I prevent other people from making inaccurate changes to Family Tree?

FamilySearch FamilyTree is ONE tree of billions of records that more than one million users all share and work on collaboratively.

if you really want a private tree that no one else can touch - you use a system like Ancestry or a PC installed system like FTM, Roots Magic, AQ and numerous other standalone systems.
