I have noticed that sometimes Family Search has created records for people, but the record that they were created from is not referenced or attached. It would be very helpful if the record were attached.

If you are seeing "FamilySearch" as the contributor in the FamilySearch Family Tree, that just means that the information comes from an earlier version of the program and the name of the contributor could not be brought forward into the newer formats. And, the earlier formats did not allow for source attachment.

Building on what Áine said, note that Family Tree is built on the contributions of many people. We all can help make it better. So you can search for records that document the details about any person in Family Tree and attach those source records to the person. That would be a wonderful service that would help anyone who comes after you to look at that person in the Tree.
