Have you checked the WWII records on National Archives? Census records are a great way to find relatives also. Unfortunately, not enough information is provided for us to help you look. We found a Ruth Naomi Rittenberg married to a William "Bill" Berton Corbett in Ancestry.com. Here is a snapshot of his vitals. There was a 1940 Census record showing him living with his mother Mary and a couple of brothers. Hope this is the right person. You can find this under "Search" and "Public Member Trees" If you do not have an Ancestry account, you can go to a FamilySearch Center near you and have access to Ancestry for free. To find a FamilySearch Center near you, click on the Map symbol on the FamilySearch home page, and then click "Find FamilySearch Center". It will show you icons of FamilySearch Centers. Good luck to you. Hope you find him. Let me know if we can be of further help.

William Corbett was my step grandfather .He was my grandmother's second husband. My grandmother married a man named John Reeder first. He was not my mother's father. My grandmother never would say who he was,but what she did say was not true for the most part.Other than the previous mention, his first name may have been Carl, and I believe he may have lived in Olivehurst,California .He could have been stationed at Beale AFB in WW2.The archives is a good idea, but I don't know if it's possible without a name.I really hope somewhere someone will remember a name.I thank everyone for the help!
