How to Identify Your End-Of-Line Ancestors
A lot of work has been done for my family tree and I would love to have a list of "end-of-line" ancestors (ancestors without parents listed for them) so that I know where my gaps are and work that needs to be done.
The best I can find that will help is either:
- TreeSeek.com
- - which will allow me to do a 9 Generation Fan-chart
- But even then, thats as far as it goes
- Puzzilla
- - that will allow a 12 generation web-like chart, but you can't zoom into Puzilla to identify those little open pockets that form and things become difficult to click on the more generations that are loaded into the web-chart.
Another thing I'm looking for is a pre-loaded full family chart, but allows zooming in to see distant ancestors.
All in all, I just want to see a bigger birds-eye view of my family tree to see a greater glimpse of what is missing.

Hi Nathan - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking your question about end of line. It sounds like you have already looked at some of the 3rd party products for a solution. Just in case, you can get a listing of the 3rd party products compatible with Family Search in the solutions gallery at this link.
Within family search, you can view the fan chart for up to 7 generations. Then you can do another fan chart for those at the 7th generation for another 7 generation and so forth. I know this is kind of clunky.
I did a google search on "how to find end of line in genealogy" and found a couple of ideas. You could try that and additional searches. Hope this helps.
