It sounds like you are actually in your Daughter's "FamilySearch" Account; and, NOT, your own Account.
.
What is the "Display Name" in the TOP right-hand-corner of any page/screen?
.
Your "Display Name"; OR, your Daughter's "Display Name"?
.
If the "Display Name" is that of your Daughter; then, you will need to "Log Out" of your Daughter's "FamilySearch" Account; and, then, into "Log Into" the "FamilySearch" programme, in your "FamilySearch" Account, with Your "UserID" and "Password".
.
I hope this helps.
.
If such is NOT the case; then, come back to this post of yours.

As Your "Display Name" is at the TOP right-hand-corner of any page/screen ...
.
In that case, if you are talking about the "Pedigree" View (and, I will use the "Landscape" Pedigree View as an example); then ...
.
That is normal ...
.
Your CHILDREN will be in on the Left-Hand-Side of the page/screen, in One column, from Oldest at the Top, to Youngest on the bottom.
.
You will appear to the Left of your Children, in the Next Column, with your Spouse.
.
Your Ancestral lines will be in the following Columns Below you.
Whereas your Spouse's Ancestral lines will be in the following Columns Above them.
.
.
I this what you are referring to?
.
If that is the case; then, that is NORMAL.

My daughter doesn't have an account. The display name at the top right is mine.

I think that answers my question that it is normal. I was just hoping to start with myself and branch out from there. And then on another account start with my spouse and branch from there. The way it is, there is no reason to have separate accounts from my wife. If that is what I wanted I should have started with my parents. That helps, thank you.

One more question. If that is the case, then how do I change it to start where I want it to start. Reference my other response. Is that possible with starting all over?
