Is Record seek working

FamilySearch does not support RecordSeek. You need to contact RecordSeek for support.
Depending on your browser, clearing any RecordSeek cookies MAY correct the problem. Or, try using a different browser.

No one can provide you any assistance. You gave no information. Can you post the exact record you are talking about? If it is a person record, give us the name. Did you try searching for the person by doing a search of the world tree? If the person has been disconnected, you can connect him or her back.

Hi, Welcome to FamilySearch Community and asking about Record Seek. Record Seek is a 3rd party software utility. We would suggest you start by contacting Record Seek for assistance. You can visit their web site at https://recordseek.com/

@WandaBublik1, just tried RecordSeek and it is working for me. Like Gail points out, you will have to give more detail about exactly what is happening when you try and access it etc.

RecordSeek USED to work with Ancestry and FamilySearch. It has worked only with FamilySearch since about 2 years ago.
It is a third-party product that is not well-supported, unfortunately. The creator rarely responds to request for fixes.

When I try to use recordSeek this week it only lists ancestry.com as a possibility, no FamilySearch.

Hello,
I wonder why RecordSeek.com is not workin with adding sources to FamilySearch Family Tree.
I've deleted cookies on FamilySearch and my computer.
Still not working. I did see a notice on the Record Seek that the problem with FamilySearch has been resolved. But no.
It only posts to Ancestry. And I don't need it to post on Ancestry.
This is the choice of where to post the Record Seek source:
Attach a Source to Ancestry.com
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Anitra :)

RecordSeek is a 3rd party product, and any support request needs to be made to RecordSeek, not FamilySearch. And it hasn't worked with Ancestry in more than 2 years.
That notice on RecordSeek, that problems have been resolved, is more than a year old.
And I just checked and used RecordSeek to attach a source from FindMyPast to a profile on FamilySearch. Worked as expected. Using Chrome, fully updated, in Win 10, also fully updated.

Thank you. I've been using RecordSeek going from Ancestry.com to FamilySearch.org for several years, up until this last 3 weeks. Yes, using Chrome, fully updated, in Win 10, also fully updated. And Cookies deleted on FS and Google Chrome.
But I'll contact RecordSeek. Ancestry help service told me to ask FamilySearch.
Thanks loads,
Anitra :)

The product is only (slightly) supported by its creator. He's a one-man operation, so I'd be surprised if you get a prompt reply.
RecordSeek has not worked to save TO Ancestry in more than two years. The creator says that Ancestry will not allow him to see the API changes so that he can adapt. It's working for me to save TO FamilySearch from Chrome, Vivaldi and Firefox, without issue.

What browser, @EsplinMark? I have both options visible in Chrome, Firefox, and Vivaldi. Edge only offers the option to save TO Ancestry. And as I mentioned in another thread, the save TO Ancestry has not worked in more than 2 years on any browser.

I was using Chrome. Someone showed me that if you make the recordseek window small then you can see both the FamilySearch and Ancestry icons.

In Chrome, I have both icons, no matter what the size of the RecordSeek window.

Appreciate the responses to my question. However, I just tried it again and it only gives me the option to save to ancestry.com. I've used it often in the past but now unable to save anything to FS. I use chrome. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have deleted and reinstalled with no positive results.

Take your mouse and reduce the size of the box - make it narrower. Then both options will show.

I can no longer get RecordSeek to attach records into my sources. Is anyone else having this issue?? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in and tried to contact their help desk, but am not getting any answers.

I also am having the same problem. The person in FamilySearch the source is to be attached to is not being uploaded into Record Seek.

It's working fine for me. Have you tried using a different browser?
If your problem is that you can't see the FamilySearch logo, just narrow the pop-up to force the Ancestry logo to be smaller and both will be visible.
If it looks like this
Drag one side in, with your mouse, to make it look like this

My mouse will not resize the icons. I've tried everything and I really miss RecordSeek.

You're not trying to resize the icons. You want to grab one edge of the outer box and drag it inward.
Grab on either side with your mouse (or your finger if you have a touch screen) where I've shown the arrows.

My understanding is that a new update to Chrome has made RecordSeek incompatible with it. If you use Firefox, it will work to take records from Ancestry to FamilySearch or other sites to FamilySearch. I've never been able to get it to take info from FamilySearch to Ancestry. I've quit using it temporarily, going back to downloading and uploading images, the old school way!

I've been using RecordSeek on Chrome every day.
