PRES John Adams & PRES Benjamin Harrison
I was doing research on how I'm related to these two presidents and I found a discrepancy on my side.
According to this site, I'm related to John W Paine & Elizabeth Belcher; however, for Pres John Adams, Thomas' parents were Stephen Payne 1626-1691 & Hannah Bass. For Pres Benjamin Harrison, John W Paine's parents were Stephen Payne 1629-1677 & Anna Chickering. How is this possible?

I'm not sure I follow your comment. Who is Thomas? Also, I don't see any John W. Paine as an ancestor of either president so I have to assume he is in your line going up to the common ancestor your share with each of the presidents. What are the ID numbers of Hannah Bass and Anna Chickering?
But in any event, Family Tree is a work in progress with the work being done by us users of Family Tree. There are still a lot of duplicates and still a lot of incorrect information imported from old research that has not been cleaned up and correct yet.
When you finish your research with a full set of good, reliable historical sources and you are positive it is accurate, go into Family Tree and make any needed corrections in personal information and family relationships, adding all the sources you found and documenting why you feel your changes are correct.

@StanleyNicodemus are you viewing through Famous Relatives or within the FamilySearch Family Tree itself? Famous Relatives pulls information from the FSFT, but often without regard for the difference among biological, step, or adoptive relationships. And, the tree is fully open-edit, so any contributor may have made an error or an assumption.
