In a recent monthly FSC tech meeting, we were told that the Church had contracted with YEXT to either claim ownership (if not claimed) or ask permission to share ownership of Google accounts, to allow standardization of public domains. So far, I've not been contacted by YEXT nor have I seen any follow-up. If you own the account, I would think you could see ownership and any requests by going directly to Google and not clicking on any email. Maybe others have experience in this?

More detail on how this is working and what we can expect as FSC leaders would be appreciated. I've seen NextDoor, Google, and one or two other "confirmation requests" in the email account I set up for our FSC (not the Family History Mail account). I don't appreciate all the spam, and only want to reply to the legitimate request if/when it comes, and know what I'm looking for to ensure authenticity (and approval) of the request.
This is on my list of questions for tonight's tech support meeting (east coast).

You can set NextDoor as spam to filter out the spam. However, IF you have claimed the FSC as your Business, you will get spam from everyone wanting to represent and promote your business. There is nothing we can do to prevent that. If you have not claimed the center as your business, all such correspondence and spam will be sent to the FHD and YEXT to filter and handle. You should have used your FSC email address to claim the business, or better yet, and you should NOT claim the business and let the Family History Department handle the promotion of your center through Google marketing and YEXT.
