Invalid Place Names

I am experiencing a huge problem with non-extant place names. It seems that someone created place names with no regard to accuracy. Like putting places from the Cape Province into the Transvaal. 1000's of kilometer between! This is not a once-off. There are, literally, 100's of South African "approved" placenames that simply do not exist, as captured. How do I fix this?

It's likely not "someone" but the computer algorithm used in post processing. See this thread (among many others). https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/145709/films-incorrectly-standardised#latest

We've sent this on to folks in that department to see if they are able to straighten out these place names. They may contact you through messaging or here to find out specifics on the invalid places that you have found.
