email links not working
So, recently I have received several (at least four) emails from familysearch with the subject line: Someone added one of your documents to an album on FamilySearch. In the past, I could click on the link from the email and it would take me to the document in question. Now, the link doesn't work. When I click on the link I receive this message from google:
Redirect Notice
The previous page is sending you to an invalid url. If you do not want to visit that page, you can return to the previous page.
I like knowing when someone adds a memory to their album or makes a comment. In order to see what happened, I have to go to my gallery and look up the memory by the title which is in the non-working link.
I don't know if you are already aware of this problem. I am hoping it can be fixed. if not, maybe you should stop sending the faulty emails...

There have been a few threads with similar comments over the last several weeks. I have not encountered it, personally, but I don't put many items in Memories.

https:/www.familysearch.org/photos/images/174293866 <-- @Maile L If it helps, the links are missing one of the / slashes. The link should be https://www... not https:/www...

@JulieVWilcox I verified the link from @American Family Historian and it seems to be functioning now. Will you please let us know if you still having issues?

the problem is that the emails we receive - have a corrupt link address, they are missing a / in the http section. The general link itself may be good - what is bad are the emails we recieve (the link in the email is bad).
I have the same issue
It is not a problem with just one particular link or email. ALL emails that we get reporting comments to a FS memories item - end up with a Bad link in the email itself, but this is only as it applies to emails generated in relation to a FS Memory items (for example when someone makes a comment underneath the item)
In other words - it appears as if the link we are getting inside our email is formatted like this https:/www.familysearch.org/photos/images/135985241 when it should be https://www.familysearch.org/photos/images/135985241. notice the missing / in the first address. for some people - they may not notice it - but at least with email with GMAIL.com - doesn't handle this anomaly well - and people end up not being able to see the link.
the engineers who maintain the code that generates these emails - need to check for this bug in their code.

It appears that they have temporarily suspended these emails (that get generated when you make comments on a FS Memory item)
which is a good sign that they are working on the resolution to this issue.

I have been told that this should have been fixed. If there are any new occurrences, please let us know. Thanks.
